2.29 | Misuse of Student Identification Cards

2.29.A | The Student Identification Card, or Buff ID, that is designed to be a career identification card, is the property of West Texas A&M University and is validated each semester upon payment of fees. The following rules apply to the use of a student's Buff ID:

  1. Possession, alteration, use, or attempted use of an ID card for the purpose of identification or to receive services, by anyone other than the person whose name, ID number, and photo appear on the card, is considered unauthorized use. The offender will be subject to penalties and confiscation of the ID card by University Officials.
  2. A student must produce their identification card upon the request of a University Official.
  3. Students may not extend the use of their card to another. Examples could include handing your card to another to gain entry into a residence hall or lending a card to another for use at a campus vendor.
